Your Sunday Best ~ #13

The locally owned nursery e-mailed a "freeze warning"; my desktop widget is forecasting lows of 28 degrees and possible snow . . . I worry that maybe I may have been overzealous in cleaning the beds and taking too much of the protective covering away from the perennials . . .

STOP!
At 7000' above sea level what'cha expect when the last possible freeze date is May 31!

Rather than lament, I'll share the beauty that I have enjoyed this week!

except for the split leaf lilac which isn't quite ready yet.)

52 Photos Project: Week 51

Bella's prompt:
Spring is on!!
What beauty have you found
outside your door!

Sad to say, I haven't any crocus, jonquils, daffodils or tulips, the fruit blossoms are gone, and the lilacs still tight buds!

But outside my door the holly is in the fullest bloom I have ever seen . . . and I'm taking out a petunia basket my sister gave me for Easter every morning and bringing it back in the house every evening! And, I'm enjoying playing around with the Instagram processing!

Texture Tuesday ~ Little Things eDition

Won't be long before I have a yard and house full of lilacs!

Nectarine trees are not a common sight in Santa Fe,
I captured a photo of my sister's tree,
which grows in a highly protected area!
Oh glorious, glorious spring!

(All photo's have a layer of Kim Klassen's texture "little things".)

Your Sunday Best ~ #10

Despite two snowstorms and freezing temp's, I'm still going to have apricots!

and apparently the weather didn't bother the roses either!
